The kilms are fed by wood from fallen trees from our rain forest reserve and prunings. The ashes are also recycled in the comput and back to the plantation.

Electrical power comes from a small, damless hydroelectric plant powered by a mountain stream, while the water runoff is recycled and processed in a treatment lagoon and returned, purified, to the system.

The high quality coffee is packaged individually and shipped only to specialty purchasers of gourmet coffee. A small amount is packaged for retail sale as La Amistad Estate Coffee, offered to our sponsors and friends.
