- Natural recycling: In our system of coffee cultivation, we copy the natural recycling that occurs in the surrounding forests, in which decomposing plant matter is returned to the soil to renew it. Compost, made from the natural byproducts of our crops mixed with other natural materials, such as coffee pulp from our processing plant, is added to our plantation’s soils. We also add green matter from weeding our fields and pruning our shade plants, all of which is returned to the soil to regenerate its richness, texture and fertility in a true system of natural recycling.
