From Panama:

La Amistad Ecolodge and Rainforest Reserve is easily reached from David, Volcán, and the Bambito Resort, in Panama. Ground transportation takes about one hour from the five-star hotels at Bambito.

Take the road from the town of Volcan to Rio Sereno, where you can get the permit to access Costa Rica. Then you have to drive to the village of Piedra Candela, where you go across the border and drive about 5 minutes until reaching the town of Las Mellizas in Costa Rica, where you can follo wthe signs to La Hacienda La Amistad which is located right next to Las Mellizas town.
